How long does each product last? Especially if you are using 3 layers of the lip colour.

When one colour is used every day the lip colour lasts for 4 – 6 months; however, most customers purchase more than one colour which extends the longevity of the product.

What preservative is present in LipSense?

There is no preservative in LipSense. It is self-preserved. The liquid delivery system naturally kills germs and bacteria.

Does the product contain lead?

No, it doesn’t and never has.

Does the lip colour or lip gloss contain gluten?

No, neither of these products contain gluten.

Why does my LipSense not stay on and peels off?

The colour technology works a little differently on each user due to different pH factors. Also, the long-lasting colour technology can be impacted by medications a consumer may be taking. You may find some shades work better on your lips than others. Make sure you use only three thin layers of colour. If the colour is too thick it may peel off. Sometimes the product seems like it is peeling, when in fact it is the skin on your lips lifting as they exfoliate

Is our Lip Colour Kosher?

The present certificates for Kosher LipSense are now past their effective date. However, nearly all of our stock of Lip Colours and all of our Glosses were manufactured while the Kosher certificate was in effect.

The Lip Colours appear to be slightly different shades from time to time. Why?

As the product is produced from natural ingredients it will have some variation in colour from one product run to another because the colour pigments we use are from natural sources. Our formulators try to match each run for consistency but there can be minute variations.

Is there an SPF for the Glosses?

No. However, the proprietary formulations and colour pigments in LipSense help create a physical covering for the lips, and so the colour pigments help to protect the lips from the sun’s rays.

Which Glosses contain mica?

Any gloss that is shiny, Pearlized or Glittered may have mica.

Why should I buy an Ooops!™ Remover?

This is just in case you make a mistake when you are putting your Lip Colour on, or if you decide to change the colour in the day. The Ooops!™ Remover will start to lift the Lipsense colour. Also it can be helpful in attempting to remove spilled Lip Colour on clothing.

Why should LipSense Liquid Lip Colour initially be sold in a Set?

The Set consists of a LipSense Liquid Lip Colour, a Moisturising Gloss and Ooops!™ Remover. The long-lasting properties of the LipSense colour product are enhanced by using one of the LipSense Moisturising Glosses. LipSense Glosses were formulated to work with the long-lasting technology of LipSense whereas other gloss formulations may break down the staying power of LipSense. In addition, the Moisturising Glosses help to keep the lips moist and plump. The Ooops!™ Remover is especially designed to erase those Ooops!™ mistakes that can occur when applying the Lip Colour. As a person eats and drinks, the Gloss comes off and needs to be reapplied a few times during the day to keep the colour renewed and increase its staying power. If you are using the product properly you will see that the colour will last all day long.

What is the best and most expeditious way to place an order?

The quickest and most efficient way of ordering is on-line ordering.

Can I phone in my orders?

No sorry we do not have this facility.

Where is the product sold?

SheerSense is set up as a Direct Selling Company. Distributors sell product via group demonstrations in homes, at work, at trade shows, conventions and expo events. The product may be sold in small, privately owned, non-chain retail establishments as well.

What is the Return Policy?

If a problem should occur with a product, please go back to the Distributor who sold the product to you to discuss.

I can feel a tingling sensation. What is this?

The first time you try LipSense it can tingle. This is because the lips are dry and not sufficiently moisturised. Those without dry lips do not notice this. The sensation will stop once you have finished the application and applied the moisturising gloss. After you have used the Gloss for a day or two you will rarely ever experience the tingling again. Dry lips can be caused by repeated use of wax and paraffin based lipsticks, which, by their nature, can cause dry lip tissue. You can eliminate this by conditioning the lips for a few days and not using any wax based products. Once you use the LipSense and the Moisturising Gloss on a regular basis the dry lips will be gone.

On some days I notice my Lip Colour does not stay as long. Why?

LipSense comes off when your lips exfoliate, which is usually every eight to ten hours or so. Because LipSense only adheres to your top layer of skin it comes off when your lips exfoliate and does not damage the underlying layers. The Gloss has Shea Butter that penetrates several layers down, actually making your lips healthier. The more moisturised your lips are the longer it will take your lips to exfoliate. Thus your LipSense will last longer if you keep your lips moist. Most women will find the colour will last all day when reapplying the Gloss throughout the day. The colour can also lift when eating foods with oils, eg. salads with vinaigrettes, fried chips – Gloss prior to eating these foods and this will protect the colour.

Can I combine colours?

Definitely. This is one of the benefits of the three layer application. You can use any of the colours to come up with various new shades to best suit you. Some colours lend themselves to applying over others, mostly used for this are some of the lighter colours e.g. Pink Champagne, Bombshell.

Is the LipSense Lip Colour approved by the UK Competent Authority?

The UK Competent Authority, the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), approves the ingredients of LipSense.

What happens if I should spill the Lip Colour on my clothes?

The colour is easily removed by having the item dry-cleaned, or use Ooops!™ Remover to help lift the colour.

Can I use other glosses/balms over LipSense?

We do not recommend this as our Gloss promotes the staying power of LipSense as well as properly moisturising your lips.

Does LipSense give protection from the sun?

The proprietary formulations and colour pigments in LipSense help create a physical covering for the lips, and so the colour pigments help to protect the lips from the sun’s rays.

Can I purchase your products if I live outside the UK?

Sorry we are only authorised to sell products to anyone living in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
